Itinerary Updates – Japan’s Three Views and Three Gardens

Almost five years ago I wrote up some itineraries on my blog to bring you to some of Japan’s best sights. The original set is Japan’s Three Views: Matsushima, Amanohashidate and Miyajima. This has spurred into a long list of official and unofficial “big three” sites covering a wide range of locations. One such list considered official is Japan’s Three Gardens: Kenroku-en, Kairaku-en and Koraku-en.

I have updated both of these itineraries with updated fare and travel information, given that travel options can change after several years… so be sure to check them out!

As far as I can recall, I do have another itinerary on my blog about Japan’s Four Castles, traveling around to see what were the top four castles in Japan at the time. This has changed a bit now that Kumamoto Castle, at the top of the list, was damaged in the April 2016 earthquakes. I hope to update this itinerary soon.

Itinerary Update – The Three Gardens

I have recently updated an itinerary posted three years ago on how to go about visiting Japan’s top three gardens. If you have only a few days and want to visit all three of these popular locations, please check out my suggested travel plan on its original post.

Prices are now reflecting the higher consumption tax and new travel options, such as the Hokuriku Shinkansen which now offers a more direct trip between Tokyo and Kanazawa.

Time permitting I’ll try to update others and work on a few more to share with you!
