Hi Jennifer! I think you will be able to do a lot on your list in two weeks... one of the things that I would not recommend however is getting a tattoo. Tattoos are 'taboo' in Japan, as many Japanese people frown on them due to their connection with Yakuzas, or Japanese gangsters.

If going from Tokyo to Kyoto and back then a Rail Pass is worth considering before entering the country.

Thanks for reading my (slightly outdated) blog and thanks for sharing your travel ideas. Believe it or not, there are a few things on your list that I have not done yet...

Hello, My name is Jennifer.
A friend and I are planning to travel Japan for two weeks in October (no exact dates are made.

Things we want to see/do,

Disney Land Tokyo,
Stay at a Love hotel,
Kyoto Temple,
Public Bath House,
Mt Fuji (see it we know it is out of season)
Go clubbing
Take a bullet train,
Go to a classic Japanese style living space (sleep on the floor sliding doors, etc..)
Get a tattoo
Take a martial arts class,
And see a Geisha.

I know these are all spread out and we only have two short weeks to do it. I was wondering if it would be even possible? And if you had any suggestions?

Thanks so much for your time,
Jennifer

Some Skyliner runs are cancelled. Usually there are two Skyliner trains per hour from Narita Airport, but since some runs are cancelled there will be some periods when only one train will run per hour.

The difference is that there WILL be Skyliner runs during mid-day, while there will be NO Narita Express trains during mid-day.

70 mins to Nippori via Yamanote then 23 mins from Nippori to Shinjuku right? Then my really best bet would be the Skyliner since I have to catch a bus. Skyliner operates full time right?

btw, I hope everyone's safe after the 7.1 magnitude earthquake yesterday.

Your best bet by train is to use the Keisei Skyliner which runs on a limited schedule during midday and change at Nippori to the Yamanote line (approx. 70 minutes, 2,590 yen) or you can take the Keisei Limited Express commuter service and change at Nippori to the Yamanote (approx. 2 hours, 1,190 yen).

You could also use the hourly JR rapid service from Narita. At Kinshicho station, a few stops before Tokyo station, walk over to the Sobu Line which goes to Shinjuku (about 2 hours, 1,450 yen, no charge with Japan Rail Pass).

If you have heavy luggage you might want to forward it using luggage delivery at Narita or use the Airport Limousine highway bus to Shinjuku if it is available.
